Our Pastor


With the approval of the congregation on Sunday, June 3, 2007, the Thornville United Methodist Church has formally accepted Geraldine (Gerri) Lampton as its new pastor.

Pastor Lampton graduated from Licking Valley High School, Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary.  She has been involved in Christian ministry since 1985.  Her first appointment was New Madison UMC; then, Pharisburg/Magnetic Springs Charge; Jenera/Mt. Zion/Houcktown Charge; Jacksontown/White Chapel Charge; Gratiot UMC; Heath UMC. Lampton comes to us from the Calvary United Methodist Church in Tontogany, Ohio.

Pastor Lampton and her husband David have been married since 1990. She is stepmother to three children; Leslie David, Ashley James, and Beverly Ruth Parr. Pastor Lampton and David raise beef cattle, lease farm 40+ acres, and grow a substantial garden on their 85 acre farm that is located locally on state route 40.
